You may not be thinking of getting pregnant, but are experiencing problems with your menstrual cycle. We can help with common conditions such as:-

  • Period pain/discomfort
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Endometriosis
  • Irregular, long or short menstrual cycle
  • Headaches and digestive disturbances around the time of your period
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS, PMT)
  • Spotting
When you attend the clinic for the first time, you will be asked about your general health, lifestyle, energy levels and so on, as well as the details of your menstrual cycle - length, timing, blood loss etc.

Your tongue and pulse will be examined in detail, and you may be asked to start a daily basal body temperature (BBT) chart to provide more information. Acupuncture places great emphasis on observing what goes on outside the body to discern what is going on inside.

Treatment will be aimed at restoring and correcting imbalances in these areas, and hence to restore proper functioning.
Wherever possible, treatments will be explained in plain English so that you are fully involved...
